What We Do
141 Industries is an apparel company committed to providing quality products and serving as a bridge to local community organizations. We make custom clothing for businesses, groups, and individuals, while simultaneously facilitating a child's education.
When a purchase is made from 141 Industries, we donate a similar piece of clothing in kind. For example, when you buy a polo shirt for your employees, we provide an underserved child with a uniform shirt or when you buy a t-shirt for a family event we give t-shirts to an afterschool program.
You need a piece of clothing, we know someone who needs one too.
Education is the key to every child's future success and the success of America as a nation. Yet,
Over two-thirds of eighth-graders can't read at grade level
One-third of students drop out of high school
Another third are not college-ready when they graduate
Young people who don't graduate from high school are, less likely to be able to support their families, less likely to be engaged in civic society, and more likely to spend time in jail.
These statistics are much worse in America’s underserved communities.
Education Changes Lives,
and we want to help in any way we can

Uniforms Make a Difference
For many underserved children, uniforms mean a better chance at succeeding in school, and a better future
Together, We Can Remove One Hurdle
For underserved children, the stressful search for school attire takes a toll on them, their families, and the schools and organizations who must try to fill in the gap
We strive to alleviate at least one hurdle from the education process by providing a uniform shirt to children whose families would otherwise struggle to supply one
We believe education is the critical lever to improving these children's lives
Children and their organization have one less thing to worry about it
Our goal is to remove at least one hurdle from that process providing a school uniform shirt or program
shirt to children whose families would otherwise struggle to provide the same
With every purchase, 141 Industries gives a uniform shirt to an underserved child in your community.

The Washington Mystics and 141 Industries partner to donate uniform shirts to underserved children in Washington DC
In early December, the WNBAs Washington Mystics launched the clubs new official colors. During an event to introduce the teams new Head Coach and reveal the new color scheme, the Mystics gave excited fans over 1,000 shirts showcasing their new logo. Through this event, the Mystics also shared a powerful message: their commitment and focus on giving back to their community, using their regular purchases to support local youth.
To commemorate this exciting new chapter, the Mystics
selected 141 Industries as their shirt supplier. 141
Industries is a custom apparel company that, with each
purchase, donates uniform shirts to underserved
children, allowing their clients to make a difference in
their communities while receiving high quality, stylish
products. The donated shirts from 141 Industries remove
one hurdle from a child's life, helping them better focus
on their education and in many cases wear a clean,
appropriately sized shirt to school every day.
The Mystics and 141 Industries are eagerly finalizing their plans for the upcoming uniform donation event. 141 Industries donates uniform shirts to children in some of the nation's most underserved communities. "We've been privileged to work on a local level with great organizations such as KIPP where our latest donation provided uniforms to a school where approximately 80 percent of the students are eligible for federal free and reduced price meals," said Erin Young, 141 Industries co-founder. "We're extremely excited about working with the Mystics in continuing to help underserved children in the Washington area. It's a great feeling to see a child's relief when they don't have to worry about what they'll wear to school, and simply being excited about and focused on their education."
"The Mystics are deeply invested in helping the local community in Washington. Through 141 Industries offering, were able to further connect with our fans and highlight one of the many ways we give back to our community," stated Melissa Rentz, Vice President at the Mystics. "We always planned to do a shirt giveaway to commemorate our new logo, but 141 Industries provided us with an innovative way to throw a great event for our fans and give back through our day to day purchases."
141 Industries and the Mystics expect to complete their giving event in the spring and hope to alleviate at least one stress from a child's life by donating uniform shirts to children whose families would otherwise struggle to provide one. "This is only one of the many ways in which the Mystics hope to further reach out and help those most in need in and around Washington," stated Ms. Rentz."

NYUs Wagner School and 141 Industries give back to local children, donating uniform shirts to KIPP NYC students
This year the students at NYU Wagner's Urban Planning Student Association wanted to do something different for their annual I Love Urban Planning shirts. Working with 141 Industries, the Wagner students chose to use their purchases to support some younger students in need; they not only received custom student association shirts, but their purchase also impacted the community they plan to further serve upon graduation.
NYU Wagner is one of the leading
Public Service programs in the country
and its students are devoted to
improving the well-being of others through
public and civic action. 141 Industries
was the perfect partner; with each
purchase the custom apparel company
donates uniform shirts to underserved
children in their client's community.
From the sale of shirts to Wagner's
students, 141 Industries coordinated a
shirt donation to benefit some of New
York City's most underserved students.
With approximately 80 percent of KIPP NYC students qualifying for federal free and reduced price meals, the stressful search for school attire takes a toll on them, their families, and the schools and organizations who must try to fill in the gap. Wagner's purchase enabled 141 Industries to supply students with uniforms shirts, ensuring that those students don't worry about not having a clean uniform, or any uniform, to wear to school, but instead can focus on their education.
"141 Industries not only provided us with the shirts our students wanted, but also allowed us to make a difference in a child's life," said Amy Faust, a student leader at Wagner. "Our shirts got rave reviews and our students left feeling great about what they wear and more deeply connected with UPSAs mission and community outreach initiatives."
"Were excited to be meeting the needs of tomorrows great urban planners and helping them in their mission to find innovative ways to give back to their community in a sustainable way," said Erin Young, co-founder of 141 Industries. "By furthering our relationship with NYU and other universities, we are energized by the prospect of helping underserved students across America."'
141 Industries Thank You Note Photo of KIPP NYC students and note: Thank you This purchase from 141 Industries provided a uniform shirt to a student at KIPP NYC, a non-profit network of free, public charter schools dedicated to preparing students in underserved communities for success in college and in life.
Through the sale of its apparel products, 141 Industries gives uniform shirts to KIPP NYC College Prep students
141 Industries, a socially innovative venture focused on helping underserved children in the US obtain school uniforms, recently outfitted students at KIPP NYC College Prep in the Bronx with new uniform shirts for their music group.
"Thanks to the socially proactive purchasing decisions of
our clients, such as NYU and the WNBAs Washington
Mystics, we have the opportunity to support KIPP through
the donation of school uniform shirts," said Nicolas Lirette,
co-founder of 141 Industries. 141 Industries specializes
in custom apparel for groups and organization, and with
each purchase donates uniform shirts to underserved
children in their client's community. Additionally, the
Company retails vintage shirts online, the sales of which
also generate donations of uniforms to impactful
institutions such as KIPP NYC.
"By speaking with KIPP NYC and understanding the current needs of their students, this giving occasion was focused on providing uniforms designed for co-curricular activities, including their music group. Co-curricular needs are sometimes overlooked, but play a crucial role in a child's development and were excited to facilitate student's passion for music and athletics."
Approximately 80 percent of KIPP NYC students are eligible for federal free and reduced price meals; the stressful search for school attire takes a toll on these students, their families, and the schools and organizations who must try to fill in the gap. 141 Industries and its clients aim to bridge those gaps by removing one hurdle between a child and their ability to focus on school.
